In addition to being the best pub venue in town, Premier Hotel Albany is also steeped in history.
The Premier Hotel is a heritage-listed building located in the heart of Albany. Our beautiful two-storey brick building, with its arched windows and grand balcony, has stood on the corner of York Street and Grey Street since 1891. Over the years, the Premier Hotel has changed hands several times and has recently undergone extensive restoration & renovations.
The hotel re-opened on June 1st 2022 with Andrew Rodgers and Danae Witherow as the current licensees. Today, Premier Hotel Albany boasts multiple bars and dining areas with a capacity of 554 patrons. From our sports bar to our spacious balcony that overlooks the centre of Albany, you can relax in a style that suits your occassion.
Premier Hotel Albany has played host to numerous events and occasions over the years and and remains the premium place to watch the famous Albany Classic “Round the Houses” rally each year.
